As we watch the advanced broadcast techniques DVD in class over the next week, you will be required to find one very short YouTube video that has at least 5 of the different camera shots and/or camera techniques that you learned about in the DVD.

Due Date: TBD

I would like you to do the following:

1. Pick one short (2 minutes or less preferrably) movie trailer at youtube (or google video) that is completely clean (1 pt)
2. Embed the youtube video in your youtube assignment page at your wiki or make a link to it if the author doesn't allow embedding (1 pt)
3. Write a paragraph reflection on what you liked about the video from an artistic film standpoint. Also, you need to list out the various shots that were included in the video (visit the course wiki page and open the advanced broadcast techniques PDF file for a complete description of each shot). Please write in complete sentences. (3 pts for the reflection).

Shots that you are looking for in your YouTube Reviews: Linking shot, rack focus shot, door frame shot, walk out of frame shot, point of view shot, pedestal shot, up the body shot, window shot, reflection shot, insider shot, soft focus shot, Jaws shot, Frisbee shot, Junior shot, twister shot, ground walk over, sign shot, tripod scenery transition, tripod wip pan transition,

Your reflection should look a little something like this:

Review:
I really enjoyed this commercial about the Giant Bike. It was only 30 seconds in length, but the creators managed to put several really interesting shots together to form an engaging video. I like the many close-up shots that the creators used throughout. I also enjoyed how they made it look like the bike was actually pulling the car. Finally, the soundtrack seemed to fit nicely.

The following shots were used in this project:

1. Close-up shot when the guy grabbed the handlebars.
2. Close-up shot when the guy chained up the bike to the car.
3. Multiple cut-aways were used when the guy took his bike out of the truck (instead of one shot of the guy taking his bike out of the bed of the truck).
4. Low angle shot was used at the end when the truck was being dragged along.
5. Multiple cut-aways used at the beginning when the guy opened the engine cover, closed it and then walked to the back of the truck.
